10-Point Grade Card Evaluator
Result
Credit weighted SGPA on the MAKAUT ten point scale.
About this tool
Enter every subject on the grade card with its credit value and awarded letter grade, and the evaluator computes the credit weighted SGPA on the MAKAUT ten point scale together with the equivalent percentage. Failed subjects are flagged because they consume credits while contributing zero points.
How it works
Using the 10-Point Grade Card Evaluator in three steps
Every step below reflects the actual calculation this tool runs, so you can check the result by hand if you need to.
- 1
Add each subject with its credits and its letter grade from O down to F.
- 2
Grades are mapped to points as O 10, E 9, A 8, B 7, C 6, D 5 and F 0.
- 3
Credit weighted points give the SGPA for the semester along with the total credits earned.
Credit weighted SGPA
SGPA = Sum(Credits x Grade Point) / Sum(Credits)- Grade points: O = 10, E = 9, A = 8, B = 7, C = 6, D = 5, F = 0.
- An F grade still consumes credits, which lowers the SGPA sharply.
- The percentage shown uses the official (GPA - 0.75) x 10 conversion.
Frequently asked questions
What does grade E mean at MAKAUT?
E carries nine grade points and sits between O and A. It is a high grade, not a failing one.
Should I include a backlog subject?
Include it with grade F to see the effect on your SGPA, or leave it out to model the result after the backlog is cleared.
What happens to an F grade?
An F carries zero points but its credits stay in the denominator until the paper is cleared, which lowers the SGPA for that semester.
Do I include the project or thesis?
Yes, projects carry credits and grades like any other course and must be included for an accurate SGPA.
